What decidesyour rate.
Two people can be offered very different rates for the same loan. These are the things lenders look at.
- 01
Your credit score
A score of 750 or more gets the best rates. It reflects how reliably you have repaid loans and credit cards.
- 02
Your income and job
A stable salary or steady business income — and a reputed employer — lowers the lender’s risk.
- 03
Existing EMIs
Lenders prefer all your EMIs together to stay within about half of your monthly income.
- 04
Security offered
Loans backed by property, gold or investments cost much less than unsecured loans.

Questions
Good toknow.
How much EMI can I afford?
A comfortable rule is to keep all your EMIs together within about 40% of your take-home pay, leaving room for savings and emergencies. The EMI calculator above helps you find that level.
Can I repay my loan early?
Yes. On floating-rate loans taken by individuals, banks cannot charge a prepayment penalty. Fixed-rate and some personal or business loans may carry a charge — always check first.
Will applying to many lenders hurt my credit score?
Several applications in a short time can lower your score. We compare offers first and apply only where approval is likely.
Is it worth moving my home loan to another bank?
If the new rate is at least about 0.5% lower and many years remain, usually yes. We work out the saving after all costs before you decide.
Do you charge for loan assistance?
We explain any applicable fees upfront, before you decide — please speak to us about your specific loan.
Loans are provided by partner banks and NBFCs and are subject to their credit assessment, terms and conditions. Interest rates, fees and eligibility vary by lender and borrower profile.
